Aokiji already let robin escape before, he let her escape again, i really think that aokiji let robin live for saul, him and saul were probably good friends even though saul betrayed the world government, aokiji still has a heart (as cold as ice). This doesn't mean that they're friends now though, aokiji is still on the marines' side. He's still cool.

Ahh so damn satisfying to see spanda's spine getting spine,nt. I still don't know how to feel about merry just appearing and becoming the key points of escape from the whole mess. I was thinking it was that giant whale at the entrance of grand line. Due to that whale like voice. But it was merry somehow just appearing. Oh well aside from that. The whole arc was full of hype, thrill and feels. Everyone got a power up. As well as their bond became even stronger.

Oh merry... you are the best boat/nakama ever! And, HUGE props to Sanji for always thinking ahead and helping them escape!
